Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic is giving you a chance for a free space trip

Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic has got two spare seats for its upcoming space flights, seats you could get a chance to win by donating some money to the Space for Humanity charity. The company announced a raffle offering 2 free seats, till September 1, to a winner and a guest for a future trip on its VSS Unity spaceplane.

You can improve your chances of winning by making a large donation. By giving $10, you’ll get 100 entries in the raffle, while a $25 donation will get you 250 entries, and so on. The winners will be announced on September 29. The link for participation is provided in the tweet.

If you land a seat, then prepare yourself to be taken to about 250,000 feet above the sea in the Unity rocket that will give you the view of the curvature of the Earth for a few minutes and another few minutes experiencing the gravity of the situation (literally) in a no-gravity zone. The rocket will be carried to an altitude of 50,000 feet by a carrier aircraft, after which Unity will detach from it and fire up towards the boundary of space.
